Candice Patton is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Iris West on The CW comic book adaptation "The Flash." She has also held recurring roles on "The Game," "Sorority Forever" and "The Young and the Restless."
Candice Kristina Patton was born in Jackson, Mississippi on June 24, 1988. However, she was raised in Plano, Texas, eventually going on to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas. It was while pursuing her lifelong dream working towards a B.F.A in Theater that she wound up catching a lucky break when talent scouts from the long-running soap opera "The Young and the Restless" showed up at her school as part of the "CBS Soap Star Contest." Winning the competition, she was flown to Los Angeles to star on the series for five episodes playing the character of Robin while simultaneously launching her professional acting career.

Most young actresses would have jumped at the opportunity to extend their contract on a famous soap opera, but Candice proved to be an exception. After being offered a more permanent role on "The Young and the Restless," she decided instead to go back to SMU and finish her schooling before moving to Los Angeles to be an actress full time. This turned out to be the right decision, as she wound up graduating Summa Cum Laude. After this, she decided once and for all to move to Los Angeles in order to make her dreams of Hollywood glory a reality.
By 2008, Candice had already secured herself a recurring role on the series "Sorority Forever." While the gig only wound up lasting a total of 21 episodes, it was just long enough to gain her the exposure needed to continue finding work, locking down guest spots on such popular series as "Entourage," "Heroes" and "Rizzoli & Isles" over the next several years. Her 2013 stint as the character of Tori on "The Game" lead into her biggest role yet playing Iris West on The CW's "The Flash." Such success in a short amount of time proved she was the genuine article and continues to find her steady work going forward.
