Italia Ricci is a Canadian television and film actress. She is known best from her roles in films such as "Don Jon," as well as TV series "Chasing Life" and "Unnatural History."
Stephanie Italia Ricci was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada on October 29, 1986. Although born in Cananda, she is actually of (you guessed it) Italian descent. She studied at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada before trying her hand at professional acting.
Italia first burst onto the scene in 2007, as she starred in the direct-to-DVD spin-off/sequel, "American Pie Presents Beta House." In the following years, she continued to land small guest roles on series such as "Aaron Stone," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Greek," until finally booking her first lead character role in 2009's Comedy Central series, "Secret Girlfriend." While the series didn't last, it did manage to open bigger doors for the aspiring young actress.
The next year, Italia was again cast in a lead television series roles, this time as the co-star of Cartoon Network's live-action "Unnatural History," where she played a character by the name of Maggie Winnock. While, yet again, this series was short-lived, it provided the experience needed to move up the ranks to film. By 2013, Italia was cast in the Joseph Gordan-Levitt film, "Don Jon."
Luckily, Italia's biggest success was still yet to come, as in 2014, she was cast in yet another lead television series role on ABC Family's "Chasing Life." The show was even bumped up from an original 13- episode order to 20 episodes, which could only be seen as a good sign, as well as a bright future, for the young Hollywood starlet.
