Michelle Beadle is a sports reporter and host probably best known for her association with ESPN. She also made news in April 2014 when she accepted a date to attend Prom with paralyzed hockey player Jack Jablonski. She said, “I thought, ‘[The age difference] probably seems really creepy, but…I’m just going to show up like Matthew McConaughey in ‘Dazed and Confused’ and hang out at prom.’”
Michelle Beadle described herself on Twitter as “I was on a show. Then I wasn’t. Now I am. The kids call it Sportsnation.”

Though born in Italy, she grew up in Texas. Growing up, Michelle said her best friend was her mother, since they both didn’t know English upon immigrating and had to learn it together. She said she was a tomboy and generally had only guy friends.
Michelle Beadle attended the University of Texas at Austin and studied political science as a pre-law student. “I grew up wanting to go to Harvard Law School and save the world. I thought I could be a politician and truly make a difference.” She worked in a law group and decided that the law wasn’t something she wanted to pursue.
Michelle Beadle eventually took off three years from college because she didn’t know what to major in. During that time, she worked odd jobs in Canada (or she said, as her parents called it “wasting time”) and then came back to Austin. She finally graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
She began her career as an intern with the San Antonio Spurs and then became a reporter. She eventually took jobs for Fox Sports Net, TNN, Travel Channel and YES Network, among others. She said, “For me TV was the last thing I should have been doing. I wasn’t an extrovert. Not a ham. To be honest, I’m not overly social at all.”
In 2013, she had a “feud” with Erin Andrews. “We don’t have to like each other. It’s not that big of a deal.” She added, “I have a ton of great girlfriends in this business. There’s one that we don’t get along it turns into a catfight. But it really isn’t.”
Michelle Beadle was on NBC’s “The Crossover,” and she said, “It was completely not what I thought I was going over there to do. And then you throw on top of that a complete clashing of personalities with myself and some suits…then you just find yourself in a bad situation.” When her show was cancelled, she added, “I made it pretty clear that I would no longer be interested in doing anything for them.”
She lives by the rule to “never Google yourself. I’ve given my parents the same instructions…I learned the hard way that any jerk can say what they want and it can get to you.” She also hates flying.
Michelle Beadle is an avid dog lover and frequently posts pictures of her pug on social media.
