Magician Keith Barry was simply doing what all magicians do: performing a stunt at the end of his show that would make his audience get off their feet and applaud.

Unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out the way Barry wanted them to. While he was performing a risky escape trick towards the end of his show, Barry lost consciousness and collapsed.

The trick, which called for Barry to be wrapped in cling wrap and tied up with rope, seemed to be going as planned after he got one hand free, but then he suddenly fell over in the chair and didn’t get up.

In the video, you can see Barry struggle for a good amount of time before falling over around the 1:26 mark.

The audience fell silent and watched in shock as several people ran up onto the stage to help the magician. After a few moments, the stage lights were turned off, the curtains were drawn, and the house lights came up.

Barry’s manager spoke to the audience and let them know that Barry had regained consciousness, but would not be coming back on stage to finish his performance.

Since then, it has been announced that Barry has made a full recovery and the magician even sent a tweet to his fans thanking them for their concern, and ensuring them that everything was OK.
