Dr. Dre fans can thank boxers Manny Pacquiao and "Sugar" Shane Mosley for the latest jump on sounds from the eternally-delayed Detox album. The latest single from Dre's own version of Chinese Democracy, entitled "Die Hard," features Eminem, and premiered on Friday's episode of "Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley" on Showtime
The 46-year-old rapper/producer’s first announced the Detox LP eight years ago. We’ve heard the album’s first two singles, “Kush” and “I Need a Doctor,” and now “Die Hard” makes three. The track currently features a bunch of boxing commentary interspersed throughout, but we'll have the official version up shortly for your listening pleasure.
Showtime's four-part documentary series, "Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley," goes behind the scenes of the preparation for the welterweight championship bout between Pacquiao and Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Miami rapper Rick Ross will be accompanying Pacquiao to the ring on fight night, and even put a $1 million bet on the boxer's corner.
Dre and Eminem have also teamed with Chrysler to endorse the Detroit automaker's vehicles. Additionally, Em will be formally teaming with Royce Da 5'9", who have ended their longstanding feud and will release an EP under the moniker Bad Meets Evil in June via Shady Records. Listen to their blazing first new collaboration track.
As for the Aftermath/Interscope album Detox, there's still no release date in sight. Don't hold your breath.
