Recorded in 1991, this album – U2's seventh – marked a pivotal point in U2's career. Twenty years ago, Bono described Achtung Baby as "the sound of four men chopping down The Joshua Tree". The album won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance and became one of the most significant records of the '90s and of U2’s career.
If you're looking for an even deeper U2 fix, Showtime and Showtime on Demand is currently airing (through Nov. 26) Academy Award winning director Davis Guggenheim's documentary "From the Sky Down," the story behind the making of Achtung Baby. Featuring never-before-seen footage and new interviews, join Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen, Jr. and Adam Clayton as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of this visionary triumph.
