This weekend KCRW and FIGat7th present the 7th Annual MOJAMOJA Brunch & Afterparty Hosted by KCRW DJs Aaron Byrd and Anthony Valadez. This year they will be honoring GRAMMY® Award winning musical icon Nile Rodgers with the Vanguard Award by the MOJAMOJA Innovation Fund. And of course, CraveOnline will be there showing their support as a media sponsor.

All of the artists are donating their time to perform at the event to raise awareness and funds for the MojaMoja Innovation Fund; which supports initiatives and nonprofits working with underrepresented, multicultural youth pursuing education and job preparedness opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The MojaMoja Brunch & Benefit Concert is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by the afterparty, MOJAMOJA ENCORE, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the historic AVALON Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Tickets are available to the public and can be purchased exclusively online at www.themojamoja.com.
During the past six years, the MOJAMOJA has honored Rock and Roll Hall of Famers including George Clinton, Sly Stone and Mavis Staples with the Vanguard Award. While paying tribute to such iconic performers, MOJAMOJA has also served as a platform to breakout artists Janelle Monáe, Alice Smith, Swedish electronic music band Little Dragon, and featured celebrity DJs Macy Gray, Questlove, and Flying Lotus.
