Beck takes top honors at the Grammys despite being a major underdog in the Album of The Year category.

Beck has won the night at the 2015 Grammy Awards with his win for Album of The Year, as well as Best Rock Album. He beats out strongly favored competitors Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Pharrell Williams.

Grammy Bashers & Boycotters: Jay Z, Reznor, Vedder & More

Despite the fact that his Morning Phase record isn’t Rock by any stretch of the imagination, the album took top honors in Best Rock Album category against a nominee group of (mostly) equally unqualified contenders. We adore the album, and our review of Beck’s latest proves that, but this aint Rock. No way. Either way, major props to Beck for leaving everyone’s jaws on the ground at the Grammys.

Seriously! THIS guy won Album of The Year over the industry’s biggest props!
