Are We There Yet? – ME Hotels

Get into the groove.

There are a few ingredients that make for the perfect vacay – world-class cuisine, high-end amenities, and great tunes, and the new music program at each of the experience-based ME Hotel properties (in Cancun, Cabo, Madrid and Barcelona) brings all of this together.

Music has always been a part of the ME brand philosophy, and they’ve partnered with cutting-edge contributors Hed Kandi and 4AM DJs to provide mixed beats in public spaces as well as an in-room amenity. “We are thrilled to establish within our properties such world-class entertainment and to allow our guests to enjoy the most au courant music and beats, while staying true to the brand’s promise ‘an experience beyond accommodation’,” said Tony Cortizas, Vice President, Marketing, Sol Melia Premium Portfolio, in an official statement.

The music will touch on a plethora of different music genres to cater to each individual’s taste. The collections of tunes and beats mixed by DJs on the forefront of the music scene will allow guests to enjoy new music in both public and private areas. The program kicked off on New Year’s Eve at ME Cancun, and has since been integrated at each of the four aforementioned properties.

It’s a fantastic new service – the customized mixes in house/electro, hip-hop/mashup, rock and “locals” only” are loaded into each of the hotel’s iPods and gives guests the opportunity to create their own distinct mood in their rooms. Check in at the ME Barcelona and catch a snooze to your fave house compilation. Explore some local acts while freshening up in the shower before a night out on the town. Don’t worry about spending hours before your trip loading up your iPod – ME Hotels take care of that for you.

First customizable music in your room – what’s next? Pre-selected clothes waiting in the closet? A rent-a-dog that greets you at the door when you arrive? Hotels are constantly upping the ante when it comes to amenities and services, and this great new musical program from the ME Hotels & Resorts is definitely a step in the right direction.

Bon Voyage,
