Vertigo's American Vampire Expands With New Mini-series

American Vampire is getting a universe expansion. Announced yesterday on Vertigo Comics’ blog, "Graphic Content," was a new American Vampire mini-series set during World War II that will run concurrently with the main series starting this Spring.

This new mini-series will last five issues and be drawn by Vertigo favorite artist Sean Murphy (Joe the Barbarian), while writing duties will be handled by the godfather of the American Vampire universe, Scott Snyder.

Below you can get a feel for what Murphy will bring to the table of American Vampire set during WWII. While the below cover isn’t for the new upcoming mini-series, it is a variant cover for issue #13 of the main American Vampire comic. Even still, Murphy makes WWII-era vampires badass. Agreed?
