During the last episode of "True Blood," Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) found Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) dazed and confused on the side of the road without any knowledge of who he was. Eric's vampire progeny, Pam (Kristin Bauer) was convinced that the new Vampire King of Louisiana, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) set Eric up to die when he was sent to confront the coven of witches led by Marnie (Fiona Shaw). Because the witches had erased Eric's memory and essentially left him defenseless against Bill's wraith, Pam convinced Sookie to hide him.
Although Eric's new persona turned out to be much kinder, he still proved to be deadly when he attacked Sookie's fairy godmother, Claudine (Lara Pulver) and drained her blood until she died in front of a shocked Sookie.
In the first preview clip from this Sunday's new episode, Sookie calls in the werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) to help her find Eric; who is apparently running around in the daylight thanks to the powers of Claudine's fairy blood.
Meanwhile, Bill confronts Pam about Eric's whereabouts in our second clip of the week. And Pam proves that she's not shy about telling Bill her suspicions about him straight to his face.
And finally, the third clip finds Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) as they attempt to convince Marnie to reverse the spell on Eric to escape Pam's promised vengeance. But they're about to get some very bad news on that front…
HBO has also released a synopsis of the next episode, "I'm Alive and on Fire" as well as a preview trailer.
Sookie goes to Alcide for help in finding Eric while Bill finds a link with the Bellefleurs. Marnie needs help to undo a spell and Sam makes it into Luna's inner circle. Jason wants free of his obligations. Tommy goes back to where he originated.
