PlayStation 3 and PC owners are finally getting the third Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack, “Annihilation.” Activision has sent out a press release stating that the “Annihilation” DLC will launch in 13 days on both platforms for $15. However, what’s confusing about this announcement is that Activision doesn’t peg a specific date, so we’re not entirely sure they mean 13 days counting today, or 13 days starting tomorrow. So to play it safe, expect the “Annihilation” DLC to launch on either July 27th or July 28th on PS3 and PC.
The Black Ops “Annihilation” DLC adds another four competitive maps to Black Ops multiplayer, as well as a new zombie mode level called “Shangri-La,” which features zombie monkeys (yes!). The four competitive maps added are “Hangar 18,” “Drive-In,” “Silo” and “Hazard.” Here’s a trailer that launched alongside the Xbox 360 release of “Annihilation” that runs down all the maps included.
So, mark your calendars for either July 27th or July 28th, or both, actually. Because on one of those days you’ll be able to snag the latest Call of Duty map pack, “Annihilation," for PS3 and PC.
