The multiplayer beta for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has unfortunately come to a close. The event lasted from June 28 to July 15, 2011 and played host to 1.53 million unique players. How do I know this exactly? Well, Sony has posted some official stats from the beta on their blog, while also taking a hot second to label the Uncharted 3 beta the most success beta event ever on the PS3. And having ogled over the numbers, I believe it.

Here’s a rundown of what was accomplished by players in roughly two weeks of playing:

Total unique Beta players: 1.53 million people

Total kills: 1.9 billion

Total Cash collected: 1.4 TRILLION dollars (that’s greater than the gross domestic product of Spain, the eleventh highest GDP in the world!)

Total shots fired: 48 billion

Total matches completed: 22 million

Total time played: More than 362 years worth of matches

Now it’s time for Naughty Dog to take all the data they collected from the beta and fine tune the multiplayer portion of Uncharted 3 before the game launches on November 1, 2011. Judging by the post on the PS Blog, that process has already begun to ensure that Uncharted 3’s multiplayer is the best it possibly can be for release.

If you find yourself jonesing for more Uncharted 3 mulitplayer now that it’s gone, feel free to watch us play the Uncharted 3 beta to get your fix. And if you’re attending the San Diego Comic-Con this week, Sony will have some select modes and features from the Uncharted 3 beta available to play at their booth.
