Racers Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner propel Respol Honda to the lead in sessions one and two of the MotoGp tests in Valencia, Spain late last week. Stoner's fastest lap came on day two where he came in at 1:31.968. Regarding the tests, Stoner remarked, "Everything has gone pretty well to be honest, on the first day we just needed to compare the bike to the one we tested earlier in the year."
After the test, Stoner looked to his post season activities, "Overall it's been a positive test and it's the end of a long season! I'm looking forward to going home now and having some rest, enjoying time with family and friends and preparing for the arrival of our child in February, then we'll be back in Sepang revitalised and ready for 2012".
The 26 year old Stoner had an amazing season that saw 12 pole position qualifications, 16 podium finishes, and winning his second MotoGP World Championship in Valencia.
Honda Racing Corporation Vice President, Shuhei Nakamoto, told Cycle News, "Honestly I am very happy. When I saw the checkered flag, I was just relieved, but half an hour later, joy came to strike me."
Earlier this year we caught up with Casey at the Red Bull Grand Prix in Leguna Seca, where he had a tough win against Jorge Lorenzo of the Yamaha Factory Racing team.
The next Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix takes place on 21 October, 2012 and we can't wait to see how Casey does there.
