If you love to cheat then you’re not welcome in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That should be common knowledge, but Activision, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games are not screwing around this time. Anyone who attempts to cheat, hack or glitch in Modern Warfare 3 will be permanently banned. So far there have been over 1,600 players booted from the servers for Modern Warfare 3, reports Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling on Twitter.
Bowling’s full tweet is below:
“Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch in #MW3 will not be tolerated. 1600+ bans issued. Updates in works. Please cont. to report offenders.”
It’s awesome to see the folks behind Modern Warfare 3 so adamant about getting rid of cheaters. The last Modern Warfare title, MW2, became synonymous with cheaters/hackers shortly after it released and Infinity Ward was never able to stay on top of it, thus ruining the online experience for a lot of players. It seems Infinity Ward learned their lesson, and now banning those who ruin the game for everyone has become a top priority post launch.
So if you intend to cheat, hack or glitch MW3, you might want to think long and hard about the repercussions of your actions before you move forward with them.
