SQUIB: a : a short humorous or satiric writing or speech; b : a short news item. (Merriam-Webster)

This Tech Squib will magically pass your music through the air. And it's very white.

The Griffin's 20 audio amplifier allows users to play audio from iTunes and AirPlay-enabled apps to an existing set of speakers. But, you need to have an Airport Express and Apple's AirPlay wireless protocol for it to work. Your laptop or iPod sends the Apple signal to the 20. You connect the 20 to your speakers with the included cable. You've essentially transformed analog speakers into wireless units with a little extra oomph.

The 20 includes a 2.1 channel sound system, 20 watts per channel, optical audio input with included optical cable and automatic active crossover at 80Hz. The end result relies on your speakers' capabilities, but we can report the tech works with all components in place. It streamed from all Apple devices with signal interruption.

It's easy to set up (plug and play), and you end up with an all-digital amplifier for $99.
