SQUIB: a : a short humorous or satiric writing or speech; b : a short news item. (Merriam-Webster)

This Tech Squib proves that a lot of work hours can pour into your ear while making a pleasant noise.

It's obvious that scores of manpower hours went into building and perfecting the Phiaton MS 200 Moderna headphones. The earbud design is a far cry from the basic "tiny speakers in your ear" early days of small headphones.

The Moderna MS 200 earphones feature what the designers call a “Multi-Tune Acoustic Design” with a dual-chamber and five tuning points engineered to accelerate airflow. That promises to provide a richer sound especially channelled into your ear canal.

Of course, the only way to prove that all of that technology and big buzzwords amounts to anything is to pop them in your head and see how they sound. Suffice to say, the Moderna MS 200 offer every bit of the listening pleasure you'd expect from a set of $150 earbuds.

It doesn't hurt that the red and black design gives them the sexy exclusive feel of an italian sports car.
