It was a big weekend for fight fans as students of the sweet science had a pair of top-notch fights to take in and dissect afterwards.

After back-to-back losses that stripped him of his WBA and IBF light-welterweight title belts, Amir Khan bounced back with a 10th round TKO of an ungunned Carlos Molina Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Our pals at The Ring broke down the fight, which should give the 26-year-old the renewed confidence to now schedule an anticipated rematch with Danny Garcia or Lamont Peterson to avenge his previous two defeats.

Khan improved to 27-3, with 19 TKOs.

Meanwhile, boxing fans also gathered in Houston Saturday night to see red-hot Nonito Donaire retain his WBO super-bantamweight title and stake his claim to the pound-for-pound best boxer on the scene title with a 3rd round TKO of Jorge Arce.

It was a dominating performance for Donaire according to The Ring as the Philippines native improved to 31-1 with 20 KOs.  The loss dropped Arce, 33, to a career 61-7-2 mark in his final fight before retirement.
