With a sad heart, we report that 29 year-old Andrew Yoon, former Editor-in-Chief at Shacknews and contributor at Joystiq died in a swimming accident on Thursday.

He was out with his friends in the early afternoon at McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas when the accidental drowning occurred. When Emergency crews arrived on the scene after a call about a swimmer in distress, it was determined that Andrew had been underwater for nearly an hour.

Andrew will be remembered fondly for his Indie game creations and podcast contributions on Shacknews. More about the late Mr. Yoon can be found at Crave’s Game Revolution.

Our most heartfelt condolences are extended to Andrew’s family.
